Terms of Use

The rules for using the YourLegal.app app and website, in plain words.

Effective October 12, 2026

In an emergency, call 911 first. YourLegal.app is not an emergency service.

1. Agreeing to these terms

These terms apply to the YourLegal.app mobile app and the yourlegal.app website, operated by YourLegal.app ("YourLegal," "we," "us"). By using either one, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

2. What YourLegal.app is

YourLegal.app is a free app that helps you document an accident or injury and, if you choose, connects you with an independent attorney in our network. It is free to use, and there is no fee to be connected with an attorney.

3. Not a law firm, no legal advice

YourLegal.app is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. Guides, checklists and in-app tips are general information. Using the app does not create an attorney client relationship with YourLegal.app.

4. Attorneys are independent

Attorneys in our network are independent and are not our employees. Whether an attorney takes your case, and any fee arrangement, is between you and that attorney. We do not promise that an attorney will take your case or any particular result. You are never required to hire an attorney.

5. Emergencies and crash detection

The app does not contact emergency services for you. If anyone is hurt or in danger, call 911. Crash detection is an optional convenience: it may not detect every crash, and it may alert when there was no crash. Do not rely on it for your safety.

6. Use it safely

Don't use the app while driving. Use it only when it is safe to do so, and never put yourself or others at risk to take a photo or collect information.

7. Your account

You must be at least 13 to create an account. Give accurate information, keep your password private, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account.

8. Your information and content

The information, photos and reports you add belong to you. You give us permission to store and process them to run the app and to share them as you direct, for example with an attorney when you send a report. Only collect information about other people lawfully and in connection with your incident.

9. Contact about your reports

When you send a report, you agree that YourLegal and the attorney reviewing it may contact you about that report by call, text or email, including automated or AI calls, as described in the app. You can ask us to stop at any time by emailing hello@yourlegal.app.

10. Things you may not do

  • Submit information you know is false, or send reports on someone else's behalf without their permission.
  • Try to access other people's information or interfere with how the app works.
  • Use the app for anything unlawful.

11. No warranty

The app and website are provided "as is." We work hard to keep them accurate and available, but we can't promise they will always be error free, uninterrupted, or right for your situation.

12. Limits on our liability

To the extent the law allows, YourLegal.app is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the advice, actions or decisions of any attorney you connect with.

13. Deleting your account

You can delete your account any time in Settings. See Delete your account. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

14. Florida law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida.

15. Changes and contact

If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top. Questions? Email hello@yourlegal.app.
