How referrals work
How we connect you with attorneys
Plain answers about how YourLegal.app connects you with an attorney, what gets shared, and the choices you keep.
The short version. YourLegal.app is a free app, not a law firm. We have a network of independent Florida injury attorneys who review cases and pick them up. When you choose to send a report, we connect you with one of them. You never pay to be connected, and you decide whether to work with any attorney.
How a request is handled
- You send a report from the app, after reviewing your case file and agreeing to share it.
- YourLegal.app sends your case file to an attorney in our network who handles that kind of case.
- The attorney reviews your case and contacts you if they can take it.
- If they can't take it, we can connect you with another attorney in the network.
- You decide whether to work with any attorney who contacts you.
What you never pay for
There is no cost to use the app or to be connected with an attorney. If you hire an attorney, any fee arrangement is between you and that attorney, and they will explain it before you agree to anything.
Who pays for the network
Participating attorneys pay a flat fee to be in the network. Payment does not buy priority. There is no fee to you for being connected.
What gets shared
When you send a report, the attorney reviewing it receives one case file with:
- Your report: what happened, when and where, and your statement
- The photos and documents you captured for that report
- Details about the other driver or party, and any witnesses
- Your name, phone number, email and date of birth
- Your vehicle and insurance details, and a photo of your driver's license
Your emergency contacts, other IDs and documents you've saved, and any other reports are not shared. Nothing is shared until you agree in the app.
Who the attorneys are
Attorneys in our network are independent lawyers licensed in Florida. They are not employees of YourLegal.app, and YourLegal.app does not control their legal advice or decisions. Whether an attorney can take your case is up to that attorney.
What we are not
YourLegal.app is not a law firm and does not give legal advice. Using the app does not create an attorney client relationship with YourLegal.app. YourLegal.app is not affiliated with or endorsed by The Florida Bar. We can't promise that an attorney will take your case or any particular result.
